Veterinary Dental Surgery and Exams
It’s rare to find dogs and cats who regularly brush their teeth. While you may be able to get them into a good dental care routine yourself, just like people, they need occasional exams. But for dogs and cats, that means getting anesthesia first.
While dogs and cats are sedated, we will clean their teeth and give them a thorough examination. We can also extract damaged teeth.
Spays and Neuters
A big part of responsible pet ownership is sterilization. In addition to preventing pet overpopulation, spaying or neutering your dog or cat also helps to prevent and reduce the risk of many common behavioral issues and canine and feline diseases, as well as improve your pet's quality of life. We can help you find the best time to spay or neuter your particular pet based on their age and other factors.
Amputation
While a big decision, amputations can often improve an animal's quality of life and mobility. This may be necessary due to severe trauma, untreatable infections, chronic pain, or cancerous growths. Rest assured, we will ensure your pet is fear-free and as comfortable as possible.
Gastrointestinal Surgery
We do our best to keep our dogs and cats from eating what they shouldn’t but sometimes mistakes happen. If your dog or cat ingests something they shouldn’t, while passing it on their own is usually the best option, sometimes it’s not possible.
One of the most common veterinary surgeries is removing blockages from the intestines or digestive tract. We will use our in house diagnostic imaging to determine if your pet has a blockage and determine the best course of action.
Tumor Removal
Dogs and cats can sometimes experience abnormal growths such as cysts, tumors or other abnormatlities. While sometimes these issues are benign, there are times where tumor or cyst removal is the best option for your pet’s health.
That can be because the growth is dangerous to your pet’s health or it can be because it’s somehow obstructing normal life, such as when it gets in the way of vision or hearing.
Orthopedic Veterinary Surgery
If during an X-ray or other imaging we determine that your dog or cat has a musculoskeletal issue, we may find that orthopedic surgery is the best option to correct it.
Caesarian Section
Overbreeding has sadly made it difficult or impossible for some dogs to give birth naturally. In other cases, complications in a natural birth can necessitate the need for Caesarian birth.
Bladder Stone Removal
Bladders stones can be caused by imbalanced PH, dietary issues, underlying health condition and many other combination of issues. They are formed when elements in your pet’s bladder crystalize into solids. Bladder stones can be painful or even dangerous to your pets’ health.
